My friend Annie weighs 134 lbs., 5ft 6in and celebrated her 32nd birthday on Monday November 26, 2018. At 30 Annie was diagnosed with high cholesterol, type 2 diabetes and hypertension, not only that but she also had fibroid. She enjoyed eating chicken, anything deep fried, salty and sugary. Annie loves food, her favorite place to eat is out, fast food restaurants such as burger king and KFC were her breakfast and lunch spot, the workers of these establishments were her friends, they knew her so well they would place her orders as she walk in through the door, she would just walk up to the counter and pay, sometimes they would even give her a little extra food. Annie wasn’t worried about what she was eating because she wasn’t getting fat, so everything was OK.
Everything was OK until she passed out at work and woke up in the hospital two days later. Annie was experiencing all the symptoms of diabetes, ignored them until this day in question she had blurred vision tripped and knocked her head getting a concussion. Annie was lucky, not many persons are that lucky. She was released from the Hospital with a dietician and a gym membership. She had always thought “I’m skinny, I don’t need exercise”. Today her views have changed.
Today Annie is healthier and has a savings account with more money she has ever seen in her lifetime and this is because she eating healthier.
